Run Every Day

“A mediocre run is still a great use of time” - Beau Miles

I run every day. Rain or shine. I used to take a rest day on Sundays but I decided I’d rather keep running.

For a while I was keeping track of how many days in a row I ran. A runner friend introduced me to the term “streak runner” which is hilarious. Side note: there is also a term called “naked running” which Beau discusses in the link above. Neither of these terms actually mean running without clothes… I do wear clothes.

I run every dang day. Hence the “streak.” Like a  “winning streak.” And, I run “naked” as in “without my workout tracking watch I feel naked”. I’m old school. I like to keep it simple. I’m a man who likes to run.

Most days I run the same loop and I love it. Anywhere is fine though. Track, road, trail. I have moved the time of day around. For years, I was a first-thing-in-the-morning runner. Currently, I’m running after work and before dinner and it’s great.

If I had to come up with some pithy wisdom to end this entry… Running is nice.
